Processing is Stripe's US card rate (2.9% + $0.30) for every Stripe-based tool. Real rates vary by country and payment method. Fees verified on each vendor's site in September 2026 (Whop, MEE6, LaunchPass, Patreon in May 2026). Tell us if one has changed.
How to read the numbers
There are three kinds of fee. A platform fee is a percentage the tool takes from each payment. A monthly fee is charged whether or not anyone pays you that month. Processing is what the card network and processor take, and you pay it with every tool, so it rarely decides the comparison.
Flat tiers and percentages cross over. Divide the monthly fee by the percentage to find the break-even revenue: Subscord's $39 tier against Arcalotl's 2% crosses at $1,950 a month. Below that, the percentage costs less. Above it, the flat fee costs less, as long as your subscriber count still fits the tier.
The calculator does not model what happens after a payment fails. Arcalotl recovers failed renewals with member outreach, which changes revenue rather than fees; the recovery calculator covers that side.
