Which XOE alternative supports crypto?

Subscord accepts 100+ cryptocurrencies at 0.5% plus network fees. XOE itself accepts USDC on Base and Solana at 5%. Arcalotl, PayBot, and Upgrade.chat do not accept crypto.

Do I lose token gating if I switch?

Yes. Token gating and wallet verification are XOE features. Arcalotl, Subscord, and PayBot gate roles by payment only. If your community grants roles by wallet holdings, keep XOE for that role and use a payment bot for the paid ones, or stay with XOE.

Can I move my subscribers off XOE?

Card subscriptions created through XOE live in your own Stripe account, so they survive a bot change. Arcalotl imports active Stripe plans and maps them to roles, and members keep their billing date. Crypto memberships do not transfer.

Why people look

XOE charges no monthly fee and no platform fee on card payments; you pay Stripe's processing and nothing else. Crypto payments (USDC on Base and Solana) cost 5%. Alongside paid roles it ships token gating for wallet holders, link scanning, human verification, and access expiry with automatic role removal.

That price is hard to beat on paper. The reasons people still look for an alternative: nothing happens when a member's card fails beyond removing access, there is no save offer at cancellation, the security features are dead weight for communities that do not need them, and it covers Discord only.

Why the member's language matters

Three in four online buyers prefer to buy in their own language, and four in ten will not buy from a page in another language at all (CSA Research, 2020). Most checkouts ignore this: Stripe found 74% of European checkouts untranslated in 2022. Arcalotl sets a default language per community and then follows each member. The bot answers in the language their Discord client is set to, the checkout and the receipt use the language their browser is set to, and a Swedish member sees Swish and Klarna where a Dutch member sees iDEAL.
