Telegram Command Reference

Reference for every Arcalotl Telegram command, where each one runs, what it does, and which administration work happens in the dashboard instead.

Arcalotl registers its commands with Telegram, so they appear in the bot's command menu. Almost everything runs in the private chat with @ArcalotlBot: the bot never sells inside the group.

A command sent in a group is answered with a button that opens the private chat, so nobody's billing details are posted in front of the whole community. Keep Telegram privacy mode enabled and address the bot explicitly in groups, as in /subscribe@ArcalotlBot.

Member commands

CommandWhereWhat it does
/startPrivate chatShows your access, or the plans on offer if you have none.
/subscribePrivate chatLists plans as buttons and opens checkout for the one you tap.
/plansPrivate chatAlias for /subscribe.
/donate [amount]Private chatPreset amounts, or checkout for an amount you type.
/managePrivate chatLists subscriptions and links to the member portal.
/cancelPrivate chatGuided cancellation with a save offer.
/link [code]Private chatGenerates an account-link code, or redeems one from another platform.
/helpPrivate chatExplains what the bot does.

Only /subscribe and /donate appear in the group command menu, and both reply with a button into the private chat.

Setup

CommandWhat it does
/setupConnects a chat you administer to a new community.
/setup CODEConnects the chat to an existing community using a setup code from the dashboard.

Run /setup in the bot's private chat and pick the chat from the list. Any administrator of the chat can run it, not only the person who added the bot. Sending /setup@ArcalotlBot in the group works too: the bot replies with a button that continues the flow privately.

What the dashboard does instead

Telegram has no admin commands beyond /setup. Plans, entitlements, donation paths, discount codes, payment-recovery settings, cancellation saves, refunds, and analytics are all managed in the dashboard. The bot picks up those changes with no further command.

Share these to send someone straight into the bot:

  • https://t.me/YourBot?start=<community id> opens the plan list.
  • https://t.me/YourBot?start=plan_<plan id> opens checkout for one plan.
  • https://t.me/YourBot?start=tier_<tier id> lists one tier's billing options.

See Telegram setup for installation, the admin rights the bot needs, invite links, removals, and recovery messages.
