Stoat subscriptions and paid roles are live
Your Stoat server can now sell memberships, one-time access, and donations with Arcalotl. The bot handles plan discovery and roles; Stripe handles the payment.

Stoat support is live on Arcalotl. You can connect a server, create a paid plan, and let members subscribe with !subscribe. A confirmed payment grants the roles attached to the plan. When access ends, Arcalotl removes the benefit that payment provided.
If your community uses Stoat, formerly Revolt, you can run billing from the same dashboard as Discord, Fluxer, and Telegram. You keep your own Stripe account, set your prices, and choose which roles each membership includes.
A Stoat payment bot that keeps roles in sync
A paid role is useful only if it reflects what the member bought. In Arcalotl, plans grant entitlements: named benefits such as Supporter or Course Access. Each entitlement maps to the roles it should grant on your connected Stoat server.
For example, a Supporter membership can offer monthly and annual billing with the same role. A one-day pass can grant that role for a limited time. Arcalotl tracks the underlying access, so ending one purchase does not remove a benefit the member still holds through another active entitlement.
Choose recurring plans, one-time purchases with an optional expiry, or a donation amount the member selects at checkout. Donations grant access only when you explicitly attach an entitlement. The dashboard shows the resulting entitlements and delivery state.
From a command to secure checkout
Members type !subscribe to see the available plans. They choose a number, then a billing option when the plan has more than one. Arcalotl sends the checkout link privately, and the browser page identifies the community they are paying.
Stripe confirms the payment before Arcalotl grants access. Members can return to Stoat from checkout and use !manage to find their memberships and open the member portal. Invoices, payment-method updates, and subscription changes are available in the browser.
Stoat commands are typed messages rather than a slash-command menu. Owner tools start with !arcalotl; member commands include !subscribe, !donate, !manage, and !cancel. The Stoat command reference lists the syntax and permissions.
Keep the membership going after the first payment
Stoat uses Arcalotl's existing retention system. When a renewal fails, payment recovery can send private reminders and a secure card-update link while the configured grace period keeps access active.
When a member asks to cancel, the bot collects a reason and can offer a configured discount, pause, or downgrade before confirmation. Scheduled cancellation keeps access until the paid period ends. Members who change their mind can resume from the portal.
You can also offer annual billing to eligible monthly subscribers. Configure recovery, cancellation saves, and annual offers from community settings, then review results in the dashboard.
Connect Stoat to an existing paid community
You do not need a second billing setup when your members also use Discord, Fluxer, or Telegram. Open your existing community's Settings, choose Connect platform, and generate a Stoat setup code. Redeem it in your Stoat server with !arcalotl setup YOUR-CODE.
Member account linking is a separate step. Members generate a private code with !link and redeem it on their other platform. Arcalotl can then apply the benefits attached to the entitlements they already hold. It does not automatically move subscriptions from an unrelated billing tool.
Read how connected platforms and member identities work before moving a paid community. Your existing plans and billing history stay with the Arcalotl community you connect.
Set up your first Stoat membership
- Create your Arcalotl community or open one you already manage. Select Stoat and use the bot invitation shown in the dashboard.
- Give the bot permission to view the channel, send messages, embed links, and assign roles. Put its role above the paid roles it will manage.
- Redeem the dashboard setup code with
!arcalotl setup YOUR-CODE. Connect your own Stripe account when you are ready to accept payments. - Create an entitlement for the paid Stoat role, attach it to a plan, and set the price and billing options.
- Use
!subscribeto check the plan list. Configure a subscribe channel if you want a persistent pricing message in your server.
The Stoat setup guide covers permissions, private replies, role delivery, and troubleshooting.
What does Stoat monetization cost?
Arcalotl has no monthly fee. It charges 2% of each successful payment, plus Stripe's separate processing fees. There is no extra Stoat integration fee. See pricing and fee examples for the current details.
Payments go to the connected creator's Stripe account. Arcalotl manages the membership and its access; you retain control of that Stripe account.
Put your paid Stoat roles to work
Start with a membership, a short access pass, or a donation option. Set the benefit once and let Arcalotl follow the payment through to access.
