Arcalotl vs InviteMember
InviteMember is a mature, Telegram-first membership platform. Arcalotl sells one subscription across Discord, Fluxer, Telegram, and Stoat, and works to keep it alive after the first payment.
Pick InviteMember for depth on Telegram alone and a long list of payment gateways. Pick Arcalotl if your community lives on more than one platform, or if failed payments and cancellations are what is costing you.
What's different
InviteMember has been running paid Telegram communities for years, and it shows. It gives you your own branded bot, a hosted membership page, access codes for offline sales, broadcast messaging with segmentation, an affiliate program on its top tier, and payment support well beyond Stripe: PayPal, Skrill, CoinPayments, Paystack and Razorpay are all listed on its site. If Telegram is your only platform and your buyers pay in ways Stripe does not reach, that breadth is a real advantage and no comparison page should pretend otherwise.
Arcalotl is built around a different assumption: that a community is rarely one chat app. A member who links their accounts holds one subscription that grants access on Discord, Fluxer, Telegram, and Stoat at once. One card, one renewal, one cancellation, and one figure for monthly recurring revenue instead of two tools that disagree.
The second difference is what happens after the sale. Arcalotl messages a member whose renewal failed with a link to update their card and keeps their access alive through a grace period. It intercepts a cancellation with a reason question and then a discount, pause or downgrade. It offers engaged monthly subscribers an annual plan. Those flows are the product, not an add-on.
The third is cost. InviteMember is a subscription: you pay for a plan every month whether or not you sold anything, and a transaction fee applies on top. Arcalotl has no plan to pick. It is $0 a month and 2% of each successful payment, so a quiet month costs nothing.

Why the member's language matters
Three in four online buyers prefer to buy in their own language, and four in ten will not buy from a page in another language at all (CSA Research, 2020). Most checkouts ignore this: Stripe found 74% of European checkouts untranslated in 2022. Arcalotl sets a default language per community and then follows each member. The bot answers in the language their Discord client is set to, the checkout and the receipt use the language their browser is set to, and a Swedish member sees Swish and Klarna where a Dutch member sees iDEAL.
InviteMember runs its checkout in English only.
Pricing comparison
- Arcalotl
$0/mo. 2% of each successful payment. No plan tiers, no member cap, no minimum. Standard Stripe processing (2.9% + $0.30) applies on top, charged by Stripe on your own account.
- InviteMember
Tiered monthly plans, with limits on projects and access codes per tier and monthly or annual billing. InviteMember's site advertises plans starting at $19 a month. A transaction fee applies on top: for Stripe payments InviteMember says it is withheld through Stripe, and for other gateways it is billed monthly. Check invitemember.com/pricing for current rates. Where Arcalotl goes further
One subscription, three platforms
A member who links their accounts pays once and gets in everywhere. Telegram membership is granted by invite link, Discord and Fluxer by role, all from the same subscription. Running InviteMember on Telegram and something else on Discord means two bills for the same member and two sets of numbers to reconcile.
The failed payment is chased where the member already is
Cards expire and banks decline; almost none of it means the member wanted to leave. Arcalotl messages them in the same Telegram chat they were reading your channel in, with a link to fix the card, and holds their access open while they do. No email that lands in a promotions tab.
Cancellations get a question before they get a goodbye
The /cancel command asks why first, then offers a discount, a pause or a downgrade matched to the answer. Somebody leaving because money is tight is a different problem from somebody leaving because the content drifted, and only one of them is solved by a discount.
Nothing to pay in a quiet month
Arcalotl has no plan to choose and no member cap. It takes 2% of what you actually collect and $0 otherwise, which matters most in the first months of a paid channel, when a fixed monthly plan is the largest line in the budget.
