What is Fluxer?
Fluxer is an open-source community messaging platform with servers, channels, roles, DMs, voice, video, and a bot API.
Why it matters
Fluxer gives community owners familiar concepts such as servers, channels, roles, and bots while developing a newer ecosystem around them.
For subscription products, the important primitives are role management, direct messages, embeds, and links to secure browser payment flows. Fluxer exposes those primitives, though its bot interaction UX is not identical to Discord's.
Arcalotl supports the official hosted Fluxer service. Its commands are typed `/` messages rather than registered application commands, and Fluxer does not currently expose ephemeral bot replies.
How Arcalotl handles this
Arcalotl runs as a Fluxer bot with typed commands, role management, DMs, embeds, Stripe Checkout, and Stripe Billing Portal links.
Fluxer communities can use plans mapped to roles, payment-recovery DMs, guided cancellation with browser confirmations, term optimization, donations, analytics, and cross-platform entitlements.
Discord and Fluxer share one Arcalotl subscription model and dashboard. The interface adapts to each chat client's capabilities, so sensitive Fluxer flows move to DMs and browser pages instead of relying on unavailable ephemeral replies or buttons.
