# Pricing · Arcalotl

Arcalotl is subscription billing and retention for online communities (Discord,
Fluxer, and Telegram today). It charges nothing monthly and takes a small cut
only when you earn.

## Plan

There is one plan. No tiers, no seats, no contracts.

- **Monthly base fee:** $0/month. No setup cost, no minimums.
- **Transaction fee:** 2% on every successful payment.
- **Stripe processing:** 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction, billed by Stripe on top of
  the transaction fee. Arcalotl does not mark this up.

Money is paid out directly to your own Stripe account via Stripe Connect Direct
Charges. Arcalotl never holds your funds and never touches card data.

## Worked example ($1,000/mo in subscriptions)

- Transaction fee (2% of $1,000): $20
- Failed payments at ~9%: $90
- Recovered by dunning at ~50%: $45
- **Total you pay Arcalotl: $20** (plus Stripe processing)

## Calculator assumptions

- Monthly payment-failure rate: ~9% (industry range 6%-12% for consumer subscriptions).
- Dunning recovery rate: ~50% (well-tuned dunning typically lands 40%-70%).
